Off the Beaten Path 3K and 6K Trail Race
A trail race and fun run at Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve in Grinnell, Iowa. Two distances are offered:
- 3K trail race at Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve
- 6K trail race through prairie and woodlands
The course passes through tall grass prairie and woodlands. Grass surfaces are noted to cushion runners' strides, and participants may observe local wildlife along the route. Immediately following the events, snacks and refreshments will be served and prizes will be awarded.
Awards will be given to first, second, and third place finishers in each age category for both the 3K and 6K races. Age categories are: 14 and younger, 15 to 18, 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and over. Additional prizes will be drawn after the race.
Proceeds from the event support the natural resources and sustainability of Jasper County through the Jasper Conservation Connection, a non profit group operating under the Jasper Community Foundation.
