ARAVAIPA's OC Trail Runners Group Run : Newport Coast

This is a free, social and non-competitive group run organized by Aravaipa and OC Trail Runners at El Moro and Laguna Coast Wilderness Park in Newport Coast. The meeting point is in front of the restrooms at Coastal Peak Park, 20403 East Coastal Peak, Newport Coast (cross streets: East Coastal Peak and Ridge Park Road).

The planned route for this date is approximately 6.5 miles with about 1,000 feet of vertical gain. The course is hilly with some steep, rocky sections. Participants should have trail running experience and be comfortable with steep uphill sections and challenging rocky downhills. The specific route may change due to occasional intermittent closures within the park.

Organizers provide complimentary snacks after the run and hold a raffle drawing. Participants who come in costume receive an extra raffle ticket. Parking may be difficult for late arrivals; bring hydration and some fuel for the run.
