ARAVAIPA's OC Trail Runners Group Run - Newport Coast, CA

Scheduled for July 25, 2026 in Newport Coast, California, this is a free social, non-competitive group run hosted by Aravaipa and OC Trail Runners at El Moro and Laguna Coast Wilderness Park.

The meeting location is in front of the restrooms at Coastal Peak Park, 20403 East Coastal Peak, Newport Coast. Cross streets are East Coastal Peak and Ridge Park Road.

The planned route is approximately 6.5 miles with about 1,000 feet of vertical gain. The course is hilly and includes steep, rocky sections. The route is subject to change due to occasional intermittent closures within the park.

Participants are expected to have trail running experience and should be comfortable running an 11-minute mile on trails and managing steep uphill sections and challenging rocky downhills. The run is described as social and non-competitive.

After the run there will be complimentary snacks and a raffle drawing for a prize. Participants are advised to bring hydration and some fuel for the outing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
