Oakwood24 is the ninth annual 24 hour run and walk held on November 21, 2026 to benefit Healing Transitions. The event moved from Historic Oakwood Cemetery after seven years and will take place at Lakeside Retreats to accommodate growth.
The new venue offers space for camping, ample parking, family friendly activities, and unpaved running trails. The event is an official timed ultra run and includes distance, time, and relay options for participants.
The program includes an evening candlelight remembrance hour to run or walk in memory of people who have lost their lives to the disease of addiction. To date Oakwood24 has raised over $1,000,000 for Healing Transitions.
Funds raised support homeless, uninsured, and underserved individuals in Wake County who are struggling with addiction.
