Oakwood24
Oakwood24 is an annual 24 hour run and walk that raises funds for Healing Transitions. The 2026 event is presented as the 9th Annual Oakwood24 and takes place on November 21, 2026. After seven years at Oakwood Cemetery, the event moved to Lakeside Retreats to accommodate larger participation.
Lakeside Retreats provides space for camping, ample parking, family friendly activities, and unpaved running trails. The course and venue are intended to support multiple formats of participation.
To date, Oakwood24 has raised over $1,000,000 for Healing Transitions. Funds support services for homeless, uninsured, and underserved people in Wake County who are struggling with addiction. The event accepts support through one time donations, sponsorships, fundraising teams, and volunteer involvement.
Oakwood24 is an official timed ultra run and offers distance, time, and relay options. A Remembrance Hour is held on the Saturday morning of the event to honor people who have lost their lives to the disease of addiction. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
