About the race
NUTS Karhunkierros is a multi-distance trail running event held in Kuusamo that uses routes through Oulanka National Park and finishes in Ruka village. The event center is Ruka ski resort and parts of the routes run along the Karhunkierros trail and through river canyons and fell scenery.

- 34 km
- 13 km
The event includes bib pickup at Ruka Village and other official pickup locations on event days. GPS tracking is available for the race distances. Each distance has a time limit measured from its start:
- 166 km 36 hours
- 83 km 18 hours
- 55 km 14 hours
- 34 km 10 hours
The next edition is listed for 28.–29.5.2027 and registration opens in autumn 2026. The 13 km route has an age limit of 12 years. Historical results and archives are available for previous years.
The descriptions of individual distances note terrain features such as forests, river canyons, suspension bridges, fell ridges, climbs and descents, and technical singletrack sections.
