Num-Num Trail Challenge 2027
The Num-Num Trail Challenge is a mountain trail running event held at Pongola Express Camp in Gemsbokhoek, Mpumalanga. The course runs on Escarp Adventures property and passes through rocky outcrops, patches of indigenous forest and open grassland. Runners encounter narrow single-track trails, steep technical climbs and descents, and uneven ground with roots and rocks that require concentration and stamina.
The event offers multiple race distances to suit different preferences and abilities. Entries are limited for each class and several classes are currently marked as not selling. The listed distances and names are:
- 36 km - SOLO KNEE-BREAKER
- 21 km - HALF MARATHON, FULL GRIT
- 15 km - BUILT TO BURN
- 7 km - SOCIAL (kiddies fun run noted)
