Night Owl Trail Run
The Night Owl Trail Run takes place on the trails of Estero Llano Grande State Park in Weslaco, Texas. The event offers multiple distances and a separate youth trail run on mapped looped courses.
Distances offered:
- 5k : 1 loop
- 10k : 2 loops
- 10 mile : 3 loops
- Kids Trail Run
Each participant receives both a gun time and a chip time; awards are based on gun time. Medals are given to all finishers and attempt medals are available for participants who begin but do not finish. Overall awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each distance.
Packet pickup and shirt or bib distribution are available at TopGym, with timing chips available for pickup at the race site only. The event schedule includes a race briefing, warm-ups led by TopGym, and a kids mile warm-up.
Two aid stations support the course: a start/finish station accessible after each loop and an Alligator Aid Station about halfway through a loop. The start/finish station provides a range of snacks and drinks including fruit, sandwiches, sweets, sodas, Tailwind and electrolyte products. The Alligator Aid Station supplies water, ice, and electrolytes. This is a cupless event so participants should bring their own cup or bottle.
Pacers are not permitted. Volunteers support race operations and receive event swag and discounts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
