Night Owl 5 km Fun Run
The Night Owl event is a 5 km fun run held at Tru Grit Buffalo Ranch / Wildflower Ranch on the site of the Old Alberta Game Farm, located at 51419 Range Road 223, Sherwood Park, AB. The course runs on ranch trails beneath the open prairie sky and is planned to continue into twilight and night.
The event supports wildlife rehabilitation and all registrations contribute to the Alberta Society for Injured Birds of Prey. Participants may encounter Live Owl Ambassadors at the site.
Runners choose from colour-coded pace groups with target 5 km finish times: RED about 25 minutes, YELLOW 25:01 to 35:00 minutes, BLUE 35:01 to 45:00 minutes, and GREEN 45:01 to 75:00 minutes. Participants are encouraged to wear colourful, reflective, or glow-in-the-dark clothing to light up the course. The site provides opportunities to warm by a fire and to purchase snacks.
Registration fees are presented as CA$25 for early pricing and CA$35 for regular pricing.
