About the race
The Never Summer 100km & 60km takes place in and around State Forest State Park near Gould, Colorado, running between the Never Summer Mountains and the Medicine Bow Mountains in the Cameron Pass area. The event dates are July 30–August 1, 2027.

- 60 km (39.2 mi) - approx 8,100 ft ascent and 8,100 ft descent
The courses run mostly above timberline, with long sections of alpine ridge running, two alpine peaks and several alpine lakes along the way. Terrain includes trail, dirt road, rough trail, boulder fields, meadows, stream crossings and occasional mud.
Aid stations are fully stocked and drop bags are allowed at designated stations; the longest stretch without aid is 11.4 miles to Michigan Ditch, and a notably long high-altitude section spans roughly 10 miles from Ruby Jewel to Clear Lake. Cell service is very limited, and GPX tracks and printed maps are recommended. Wildlife on course can include moose, elk, deer, black bears and bighorn sheep. The field is capped at 625 entries across both distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
