Nav Challenge 1 - Comeraghs
Nav Challenge 1 - Comeraghs is a navigational mountain event organised by the Irish Mountain Running Association in County Waterford on Sunday 13 September 2026. The route is not marked and GPS use is not allowed. The event is part of the Navigational Challenge league and is classified Event Difficulty 9 (3,3,3) indicating difficult terrain, more than 500 m ascent, and a course longer than 10 km. Distance and climb figures have not been finalised and are therefore not reported.
Entries open Monday 7 September 2026 at 21:00 and close Saturday 12 September 2026 at 18:00. Entry fees are €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s. The event has capacity for 250 entrants. Junior entries under 18 years are not permitted for this unmarked open mountain course.
Mandatory kit for the event is Level C - Advanced. Required items include a waterproof jacket with integrated hood and taped seams; hat or buff; gloves; whistle; charged mobile phone with emergency number stored; foil blanket, bivvy bag or equivalent; waterproof full leg cover; means to carry a minimum of 500 mL water; emergency food; map of route or area; and compass. The exact kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day and advised at registration. Random kit checks may be carried out.
