About the race
The Mudslinger Trail Run is a half marathon on trails in Blodgett, Oregon, held as part of the Mudslinger Festival on April 3, 2027. The event is based at Blodgett School (35177 Tum Tum RD) and is limited to 100 runners. Registration fees are listed as $75 for early registration and $80 for later registration; entries include custom runner socks. The course runs through the Tum Tum unit of the Starker Forests and contains steep sections.
Trail conditions vary with weather, and specific trail running shoes are highly encouraged. Trail markings include pink arrows, orange and red striped ribbons, and yellow X "NO" signs to indicate wrong directions. Age-group awards are offered for men and women in the following categories: U19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Individual Mudslinger Trail Run awards include custom coffee mugs.
The event follows Trail Sisters policies that provide equal podiums and awards, women-specific apparel and swag, menstrual products at aid stations, and pregnancy and postpartum policies. The Mudslinger program also offers an Ultimate Mudslinger option that combines a runner’s half marathon result with a mountain bike cross-country race result for solo and team scoring across age divisions and a fastest-team category.
