Moxie's Memorial 5k
Moxie's Memorial is a trail run and walk held in Oxford, Maine, that starts and finishes at Oxbow Beer Garden on Main Street. The event takes place on October 4, 2026, and benefits Mission Working Dogs, a nonprofit focused on training service dogs for people in the community.
The course follows the blue ski trail called Anne's Moon Dance, then continues via a trail connector up to the Mission Working Dogs training center and to Moxie's Place before returning to the brewery. The event is organized as an in-person 5k trail distance.
The first 200 in-person participants receive a race t-shirt at check-in. Additional Mission Working Dogs merchandise will be available for purchase. For safety and liability reasons, only properly trained service dogs are permitted on the race course; pets are not allowed. In-person participants age 21 or older receive one beer ticket to Oxbow Beer Garden, redeemable the day of the event only. Oxbow Brewing Company will open its kitchen early that day at 11 am to offer pizza and drinks after the event. Restroom facilities are available before and during the event.
