Mountie Maker
Mountie Maker is an obstacle course event presented by the YMCA of Regina at the RCMP Academy grounds in Regina, Saskatchewan on September 26, 2026. The main race combines running with a series of obstacles that symbolize the 26-week Cadet Training Program.
Distances and formats:
- 7.5 km with 26 obstacles.
- Mini Mountie, 2 km, for ages 5 to 13.
- Adult Mountie Sprint, a shorter adult course.
Adults may register individually or as part of a team; teams can range from 2 to 24 people. A separate competitive heat accepts single registrations only. Heats are run repeatedly at ten minute intervals.
Registration includes a t-shirt, a medal, water and snacks. Every participant, or a parent or legal guardian on behalf of a participant, must complete an online waiver. Registration closes on September 24, 2026.
The RCMP Academy is an active, secure training site with controlled access; personal items may be searched on entry. Each participant will receive a clear plastic bag for personal items to be tied to a fence during the race; the RCMP is not liable for lost or stolen items. Package pickup is scheduled the day before at the RCMP Depot Fort Dufferin Boardroom, with recommended parking at the RCMP Heritage Centre. Buses will run continuously from Rambler Park to Depot. Spectators are welcome in the race staging area off 11th Avenue and must report to the registration table on arrival. Pets are not permitted except service dogs.
