Mountain Ridge Trail Race

Mountain Ridge Trail Race is held near Highlands Ranch, Colorado, using much of the Douglas County East-West Regional Trail. The event starts and finishes at Mountain Ridge Middle School and runs primarily on dirt trail and single-track with some bike path sections. The courses feature rolling hills and views of the Front Range. Trail shoes are recommended.

The longest course is listed at 21.8 miles with about 2,106 feet of total elevation gain and a maximum elevation near 6,412 feet. That race is described as a Y out and back with four aid stations and is a cupless event. The half marathon is about 13 miles with roughly 1,345 feet of elevation gain, three aid stations, and an out and back layout. The 10 kilometer is 6.2 miles with about 600 feet of elevation gain and two aid stations. The 5 kilometer is 3.1 miles and is run out and back; aid stations are not listed for that distance.

Pacers are not permitted for any distance, while crews may support runners at the finish line.
