Mountain Lakes 100
The Mountain Lakes 100 is a trail running event held in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon. The course primarily utilizes the iconic Pacific Crest Trail, running between Mt. Hood and Mt. Jefferson. Participants encounter a variety of terrain, including technical and rocky sections, along with extensive stretches of single track. The route passes by dozens of lakes and offers views of surrounding mountain peaks.

The course involves approximately 11,700 feet of elevation gain and loss. The lowest point of the race sits at 3,300 feet, while the highest elevation reached is 5,700 feet. Due to the mountain environment, weather conditions can vary, with nighttime temperatures sometimes dropping into the 30s.
The event starts and finishes at Olallie Lake Resort. The race has a total time limit of 30 hours. As a requirement for entry, all participants must complete eight hours of volunteer trail work prior to the race. Registration is limited to 150 participants.
On-site amenities include a pasta dinner for runners on the Friday evening before the race and a breakfast on Sunday morning. There is no internet or cell service at the start and finish area or along most of the course. Finishers receive a belt buckle and a pint glass, with a special buckle designated for those who complete the distance in under 24 hours.
