Mount Rainier Half Marathon, 10K and 5K Hill Climb : Crystal Mountain, WA
The event runs over the weekend of July 16–17, 2027 at Crystal Mountain near Mount Rainier. Courses use mountain trails and gondola access; registrations include an all-day gondola pass. Routes start at or near the summit and move through forested trails, ridge lines, and alpine meadows with significant elevation change on each course.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles), summit start with extended downhill and trail sections
- 10K, largely downhill from the top of Crystal Mountain
- 5K Hill Climb, primarily uphill to the summit
Race weekend includes a Friday expo and bib pickup at Crystal Mountain Resort Lot B. Camping and RV options are available at the official campground with reserved spaces and basic fees; tent and car camping are listed at $100, van or RV camping without hookups at $125. The event follows a cup-free policy: aid stations provide coolers of water and electrolyte drink but no single-use cups; participants should bring a reusable bottle, reusable cup, or hydration pack.
Timing and awards use chip timing for overall and masters categories; competitors must start in the designated first wave to be eligible for overall awards. Place medals are awarded to top finishers in overall and age-group categories, and all finishers receive a finisher medal.
