Mosquito Hill Endurance Run
Mosquito Hill Endurance Run is a trail endurance event at Mosquito Hill Nature Center in New London, Wisconsin, held in October 2027. The event supports Friends of Mosquito Hill Nature Center, a 501c3, and is organized entirely by volunteers.
The event offers multiple timed and untimed options:

- 6 hour event
- 3 hour event
- 5k low-key option with a flexible start window
The main course is a marked 3.4 mile loop that passes through wetlands, prairies, and forest and climbs to the top of Mosquito Hill. Each loop has roughly 400 feet of elevation gain. The trail is described as non-technical, wide, and with few rocks or roots. Runners switch direction each loop. A mini lap out-and-back of about 0.5 mile is available for 3, 6, and 12 hour participants when a full loop is not possible.
Timing is manual; participants must ensure volunteers see and count their laps. One fully stocked aid station is located at the start/finish area. Cold soda, water, chips, cookies, and watermelon are provided after the event; gels and sports drinks are not offered. The event is cup-less for cold drinks and asks participants to bring a reusable cup; hot cups are available for soup.
Awards include first place male and female for the 3, 6, and 12 hour events; there are no age group awards and no first place for the 5k. Participants receive finisher swag and a medal; items are not mailed. Location details include address N3880 Rogers Road and overflow grass parking adjacent to the paved lot. Portable toilets are available and the indoor restroom will be open. Tents and tables are allowed near the start/finish; overnight camping is not permitted.
Notable rules that result in disqualification include alcohol use, bringing pets, littering, rudeness to volunteers, and intentional course cutting. The race does not offer refunds, deferments, or bib exchanges; distance changes must be requested before starting. Pacers are allowed for the 12 hour event with limits on number and responsibilities.
