Monster Colour 5k Edmonton
Monster Colour 5k takes place on September 12, 2026, at Northeast River Valley Park, 903 153 Ave NE, Edmonton, AB T5Y 6K8. The event combines a 5 km loop with inflatable monsters placed around the course and multiple colour stations featuring coloured powder, bubbles and music.
The 5k entry includes a finishers medal. The event also offers a festival-only option with a DJ and a dance party, and a Little Monsters ticketed package for young children that includes a finisher medallion, colour packs, a buff and an alien light-up headband. Entries are organized in waves that start every 10 minutes.
Safety and participant rules note that participants aged 8 and under must be accompanied by a participating adult aged 18 or older. Children 5 and under may take part without registering but will not receive medals or colour packs unless a kids pack is purchased. Wheelchairs, strollers and pushchairs are permitted on course; terrain can vary and may include hills, roads, pathways, grass and unpaved trails.
Event logistics state that race kits will not be shipped and there is no pre-event kit pickup; kits are issued on event day. Parking in and around Northeast River Valley Park is free. Participants are asked to keep faster runners to the left, walkers and strollers to the right, wear their race wristband and seek race volunteers for assistance if needed.
