Momentus Back Yard Ultra: May 30, 2026
Momentus Back Yard Ultra is staged at Williams Rushing Farm in Monroe, North Carolina. The event offers two formats that use a 4.167 mile loop on private farmland with varied terrain and some elevation. The site includes hard-packed dirt, roots, rocks, a small gravel section, and manicured grass, and each lap has about 100 feet of elevation gain.
The primary format follows the Back Yard Ultra rules: participants complete a 4.167 mile loop once every hour until only one runner remains. The alternate format, the Celebrity Loop, is a single 4.167 mile loop that may be run, rucked, jogged, or walked as a standalone effort.
Logistics note packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event, with times and location provided at Charlotte Running Company Promenade, 5355 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy #200, Charlotte, NC 28277. A mandatory pre-race meeting is scheduled the evening before the race. Participants are strongly encouraged to pick up packets in advance.
The event is self-supported on course with no staff aid; an ambulance will be called only in emergencies and at the participant’s expense. Crews and spectators are permitted with parking limits: each runner may have one approved on-site vehicle, and oversized vehicles are not allowed in the on-site lot. Camping is allowed in a designated area during the race, and the closest major airport is Charlotte International Airport.
