MKK's Rugged Race Presented by Independence Bank
MKK's Rugged Race is scheduled for August 7, 2027, at Diamond Lake Resort in Owensboro, Kentucky. The event offers both obstacle-course and trail running options across multiple race formats.
Obstacle and trail options include:
- 5K obstacle and trail options
- 10K trail and obstacle combinations
The 5K obstacle race features 28 obstacles, including water crossings, barbed wire, rope climbs, and mud. Specific event categories listed by the organizer include Elite Rugged 5K, Ultimate Rugged 5K, Xtreme Rugged Race 10K (a 5K trail run plus 5K with obstacles), and separate 5K and 10K trail runs without obstacles.
All participants receive a finisher’s medal and a t-shirt. Additional awards include overall male and female medals in the Elite and Ultimate categories and a trophy for the top team. Youth events are offered in two age groups: Rugged Kids for ages 8 to 13 and Rugged Rascals for ages 4 to 7.
