Misty Ridge Trail Run
Misty Ridge Trail Run takes place on 6 March 2027 at Potato Seed Production (Farm Sterkspruit) near Lydenburg in Mpumalanga, South Africa. The one-day event offers multiple trail distances on the ridges of the Long Tom Pass with marked routes and aid stations. Participants must carry mandatory race kit: a space blanket, whistle, 1 litre water and a cell phone. Entries are non-refundable and online entries are not transferable.

Entry fees and on-day surcharges vary by distance. Each distance lists the number of aid stations and an approximate elevation gain: about +/- 160 m for 6.5 km, +/- 350 m for 10 km, +/- 900 m for 21 km and +/- 1800 m for 42 km. GPX files and elevation profiles are provided for the routes. Medal awards are planned for the shorter and longer distance groups.
Event amenities include camping stands at the venue for R100 per person per night, food trucks and a beer tent before and after the event, and facilities for spectators of all ages. Dogs are allowed only on the 6.5 km and 10 km routes and must remain on leash at all times because baboons and other animals roam the farm. Non-adherence to the leash rule may result in a R1 000 fine and removal from the venue without refund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
