Minninglow March

The Minninglow March is a trail event based in Parwich in the Derbyshire Dales, scheduled for Sunday 11th July 2027. The route is a circular course of approximately 17 miles with about 2,000 ft of ascent, starting and finishing at The Pavilion in Parwich.

This is a self navigation event. Participants must be confident using a GPX file on a watch or phone or a physical map and compass, as only minimal signage will be provided and most of the course follows public rights of way and well-used trails. The route passes limestone paths, grassy fields, dry-stone walls and sections of the High Peak Trail. Two points of interest on the route are Minninglow Hill and Harborough Rocks; runners must collect a card at each and deliver them to the finish for the event "Collect and Deliver" Quest.

There are three aid stations roughly at 3.5 miles, 9.4 miles and 14 miles offering sweet and savoury snacks and light refreshments including real Coca Cola. The event allows runners and fast walkers and has an overall cut-off of six hours; participants should be able to maintain about three miles per hour over trail terrain.

Entry details include a fee of £35 for UKA/TRA affiliated runners (£2 extra if unaffiliated), an entry limit of 150 participants, an age limit of over 18, and event conduct under UK Athletics rules with TRA licence 8431. Included with entry are event parking in Parwich, a finisher embroidered patch, route GPX, three aid stations, event photos and published results.
