About the race
Miles in the Maize is a fall running event at Colony Acres Family Farm in North Liberty, Iowa, that uses an off-road course weaving around a corn maze, pumpkin patch, and other seasonal scenery.
The event offers multiple entry options with published registration periods and fees: registration opens November 11, 2025 and closes December 1, 2025. Entry fees are listed per event and include a 5K, a one-mile fun run, and a combined option. Shirts are not guaranteed for registrations made after October 25.
Proceeds from the race are donated to the Corridor/Eastern Iowa Let Me Run program, a local youth organization. Costume awards are voted on and awarded during race day, and there is a brief awards ceremony after the 5K for overall and age-group winners.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event at Fitness Sports in North Liberty and there is race day packet pickup at Colony Acres. The event is described as family oriented with a Maize Mile designed as a fun, safe option for children and walkers and a 5K that finishes beside the corn maze.
