MileBuilt Gemini Springs 2-Day Challenge
The MileBuilt Gemini Springs 2-Day Challenge is a multi-distance running event held at Gemini Springs Park in DeBary, Florida. The event takes place on the Spring-to-Spring Trail and the Pat Northey Pathway. Participants navigate a modified out-and-back route that begins and ends at the O.K. Corral pavilion. The course is characterized by a canopy of live oak, palm hammock, and cypress trees.
Available distances for both Saturday and Sunday include:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Marathon (26.2 miles)
- 50K ultra marathon
This is a cupless event, and runners are required to carry their own fluid containers, such as vests or handheld bottles. While water, electrolyte drinks, and basic snacks are provided at the O.K. Corral aid station, participants are responsible for their own full nutrition plan. Runners also have the option to access their own vehicles for supplies if parked along the course.
The event utilizes a manual timing system rather than chip timing. Upon completing the course, runners strike a gong and must manually record their time at the MileBuilt Time Clock to receive an official finish record. This is a bare-bones event that does not include shirts, race bags, or an expo. Bib pickup is available on race day via an honor system. A general course cutoff is enforced at 4:00 PM each day for all distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
