Mile Light Ice Run 5K, Greenville ME

The Mile Light Ice Run takes place in downtown Greenville, Maine on March 13, 2027. The course goes out across frozen Moosehead Lake toward the Mile Light, then turns south and returns to town.

5K across frozen lake and town roads

Course conditions depend on weather. In March, warmer days and cold nights can produce a firm, packed surface when the sun softens the snowpack and overnight temperatures refreeze it. Organizers will groom sections as needed to improve the running surface.

Registration opens October 15, 2026 and closes March 12, 2027. The registration fee is $50.

After crossing the finish line, participants are offered a warm chili lunch inside The Rockwell Insurance Agency office at 35 Pritham Avenue, Greenville, ME 04441, served immediately following the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
