Midwest States 100
Midwest States 100 is a trail race held on August 29, 2026 in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest near Westboro, Wisconsin. The event uses predominantly the Ice Age Trail and the surrounding forest lands.
Distances offered:
- 100 mile
- 100 km
- 50 km
The majority of the course follows the Ice Age Trail, a long footpath contained entirely within Wisconsin, and traverses rocky terrain, open prairies, singletrack, dirt forest roads, lakes, and peaceful forest sections. The route aims to use less-traveled trails and includes stretches of both singletrack and forest roads.
Race start and finish are at W7969 Park Rd, Westboro, WI 54490. Organizers reserve the Spearhead campground for runners in the days before the race; campsites are assigned and require early reservation. The event schedule includes informal "get to know each other" gatherings the Thursday before the race.
The Ice Age Trail is supported by the Ice Age Trail Alliance and is one of the National Scenic Trails mentioned by the organizers. The event information refers to local photos and previous race coverage, and notes the setting as forested and lake-rich terrain within the Chequamegon National Forest.
