Mental Health Ultra Marathon
The Mental Health Ultra Marathon takes place in Newnan, Georgia, at 155 Millard Farmer Road. Organized in cooperation with Coweta County Parks and Recreation, the event serves to raise awareness for mental health issues and promote community well-being. All proceeds from the race are donated to the AnotherWay Foundation, Inc., for use within the Pathways Center for Mental Health to support counseling sessions and therapeutic interventions like art and pet therapy.
The race course consists of a 6 mile loop on single-track trails featuring rolling hills. Each loop includes 450 feet of elevation gain. Participants are required to carry their own water and fuel during the loop, though a fully stocked aid station is available at the start and finish area.
The event offers three distinct distances based on the number of completed loops:
- 10 km: Consists of one loop.
- Half Marathon: Consists of two loops.
- 50 km: Consists of five loops.
Registration is open until the end of October, and race day registration is also permitted. Participants who register by October 31 are eligible to receive an event shirt.
