About the race
The MCDD Beaver Dam Dash is a trail race held at Beaver Dam State Park in Shipman, Illinois, on Beaver Dam Lane. The course runs mostly on single track and follows paths around the park marsh; organizers describe it as flat and easy. The event is a fundraiser for the Macoupin Center for the Developmentally Disabled (MCDD).

- 1 mile Fun Run/Walk
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
Registration opens on September 7 and closes on October 29. Entry fees listed are $15.00 for the 1 mile Fun Run/Walk and $30.00 for both the 5K and the 10K. Long sleeved tech shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by midnight on October 18. Race day registration is available, but a shirt is not guaranteed for those registering on race day.
The Macoupin Center for the Developmentally Disabled serves adults with developmental disabilities aged 18 and older in Macoupin and surrounding counties.
