Massanutten's Revenge 100

Massanutten’s Revenge 100 is a trail ultramarathon run in the Massanutten range on October 2, 2026. The course covers 110 miles with a total ascent and descent of 22,300 feet. The route begins and ends at Camp Roosevelt and follows much of the Massanutten Mountain Trail footprint in the reverse direction of the MMT, substituting road sections with trail. The course includes technical sections such as Stephens Trail, Duncan Hollow, and two climbs of Waterfall.

Aid stations and water drops are placed along the route; some stations allow crew access while others are unattended. Entrants are assigned aid or supplies to provide in the same manner used at other club events. A GPX file and turn sheets are provided for navigation. There are no dedicated course markings beyond existing trail blazing, which can be faded and difficult to follow at night.

The event is intended for experienced ultrarunners and is not presented as a beginner event. Priority for entry is given to runners with extensive ultrarunning or Massanutten experience. There is a crew requirement for the second half of the race beginning on Saturday morning, roughly 20 to 24 hours after the start. Pacers are permitted. Volunteers are recruited to staff the event.

The overall time limit for the race is 48 hours. The organizing club does not provide medical care on course; runners are responsible for their own medical needs and for arranging emergency care if required. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
