About the race
MammothMarch Indiana is a one-day hiking event held on June 19, 2027, at Versailles State Park in Indiana. The event uses a single-circuit loop inside the park and travels through the rolling hills of southeastern Indiana.
The route covers 20 miles with a total elevation gain of around 1,200 ft. Terrain includes mainly unpaved hiking trails, bridle and dirt trails, gravel roads and forest floor. A final route map will be published about two weeks before the event.
Aid and refreshment stations are positioned approximately every 5 to 7 miles and provide toilets, food and drinks included with entry. Typical offerings at stations include water, energy drinks, electrolytes, fruit, cereal or protein bars and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Complimentary parking is available on site.
There is no official timekeeping for the event; participants who complete the distance receive a finisher medal and a personalized certificate. Participants who stop early receive a certificate noting the mileage covered. A finisher wall of fame is maintained and MammothMarch Hiking Passes will be available or stamped on site for returning participants. Event merchandise can be ordered through the event store for pick up on the day, while items ordered from the official online shop are shipped.
