MammothMarch Illinois 2027
MammothMarch Illinois takes place on May 15, 2027, at Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Fish and Wildlife Area, County Road 11, Chandlerville, IL. The event is a single-circuit loop of 20 miles, mainly looping around Drake Lake and Prairie Lake, with a total elevation gain of around 850 ft.
The route uses a mix of surfaces: paved sections but primarily unpaved hiking trails, dirt trails, gravel roads and forest floor. Aid and refreshment stations are positioned approximately every 5–7 miles and provide toilets, water, energy drinks, electrolytes, fruits, cereal or protein bars and PBJ sandwiches. There is no timekeeping; participants who complete the distance receive a finisher medal and a personalized certificate. Participants who do not finish will receive a certificate stating the mileage they covered.
Complementary parking is available on site. Organizers will offer MammothMarch Hiking Passes and will stamp existing passes from previous events. Merchandise ordered through the event registration store will be available for pick up on event day, while items ordered through the official online shop will be shipped.
