Mackays Group BEACHRUNS
The event is based at Club Wyndham Resort, 2 Pacific Parade, Mission Beach, Tropical North Queensland, Australia. The course runs along the length of greater Mission Beach, covering South Mission Beach, Wongaling Beach and Mission Beach, on sand with ocean views of Dunk Island.
Distances offered:
- 21 km half marathon, min age 15, $45
- 10 km, min age 13, $45
- 5 km, min age 12, $35
- 1 km Children's Dash, ages 5 to 12, entry on the day
A 12 km team relay is also offered as a 4 x 3 km format. Teams may consist of 2 to 4 runners, with female, male and mixed categories; the team entry fee is $96. Team registration requires a captain to register and pay first, then provide a code for team members to register.
Prizes are awarded to overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers for each distance. Winning male, female and mixed relay teams receive prizes and perpetual trophies. Age groups are recorded for times but there are no age-group prizes. Random prizes will also be distributed.
Online registration is required; late entries may be possible on the day for an additional fee. Participants are asked to stay home if unwell, maintain physical distancing where possible and use hand sanitiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
