About the race
Louzantrail 2027 is a trail running event organised by Montanha Clube in Lousã, Portugal, taking place on 6 and 7 March 2027. The event runs on trails of the Serra da Lousã and crosses rural roads, streams, forest tracks and the traditional Aldeias do Xisto. The programme includes five competitive options and a non competitive kids activity.
Distances:
- 48 km Trail Ultra with about 3000 m positive ascent
- 31 km Trail Longo with about 2100 m positive ascent
- 20 km Trail Curto with about 1100 m positive ascent
- 14 km Minitrail XS with about 700 m positive ascent
- By Stages 48 km plus 20 km combination
The event uses electronic chip timing and marked control points. It is run in semi self sufficient mode, with numbered aid stations supplying solids and liquids according to each distance. Mandatory material is defined per race and includes items such as a visible bib, whistle, mobile phone and thermal blanket for longer races. Age minimums apply per distance and minors require parental authorisation. Safety measures, route changes or cancellations can be applied by the organisation for environmental or security reasons. Registrations are handled through the organiser platform and acceptance of the event regulations is required. The event also includes an expo area for sport equipment and regional products.
