Loup Garou Trail Run
The Loup Garou Trail Run takes place in Ville Platte, Louisiana, offering a course that highlights the natural landscapes of the region. The event name is derived from the Cajun French term for "werewolf." Participants navigate a route that includes long bridges spanning cypress swamps, as well as sections through hardwood forests and piney woods.
The majority of the course consists of single track trails. While located in south Louisiana, the terrain features more elevation changes than the typical flat topography associated with the area. The event is supported by local volunteers along the trail.
