About the race
Loughgall Run Forest Run takes place on 9 January 2027 at Loughgall Country Park, 11-14 Main Street, Loughgall, Armagh BT61 8HZ. It is the fourth race in the Run Forest Run Series and the first race of the new year.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
The route begins close to the park Reception and passes the main gates, forest paths around the estate, the golf course and the lake. Surfaces include a mixture of tarmac and gravel paths; runners should choose footwear suitable for those surfaces and for likely winter conditions.
Entry is online only. Race packs are posted to participants in advance; postal options for Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland are available at registration. Entry fees include a Run Forest Run medal, individual chip timing, a race number and complimentary post race refreshments. Early bird rates and junior rates apply for registrations completed by specified deadlines. Processing fees from the registration provider apply in addition to the race fee.
Parking in the country park carries a concession fee of £2 per car payable in cash; additional parking may be available outside the park. Toilet and shower facilities are available at the Reception building, the football pavilion and the changing room building. There will be no water stations on course and pets and buggies are not permitted. Prizes for the 5K and 10K include first, second and third male and female finishers, while series category prizes are awarded to runners who complete the required number of races.
