About the race
Lost Soul Ultra is scheduled for September 11 and 12, 2026 in the Oldman River valley near Lethbridge, Alberta. The course runs on trails that cross lands traditionally shared by the Blackfoot, Cree and Metis peoples and passes near the site of a historic battle between the Blackfoot and Cree.
One lap measures 50 km with approximately 1,250 m of elevation change. Most climbs are about 50 to 80 m in height and a lap includes roughly 14 such climbs.

Two events start on Friday morning: the 100 mile (33 hour cutoff completing 3 laps plus an extra 9 km loop) and the 100 km (21 hour cutoff completing 2 laps, about 102 km). The 50 km event starts on Saturday morning (11 hour cutoff completing one lap). The 100 mile and 100 km events are qualifying races for the Western States Endurance Run.
Finishers receive a large etched rock. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age on race day. The organizer offers partial credit for a future entry under a schedule that varies by date, for example 100% credit from Nov 1 to Feb 27 and decreasing percentages through August, with a small fixed credit available Aug 11 to Sep 9.
