Longworth 10k
The Longworth 10K is a countryside, multi-terrain race held in Longworth village. The route begins on a gravel track at the east end of the village, follows a ridge and descends toward the river, runs west along the Thames Path on grass and dirt, then returns on gravel and concrete farm tracks before finishing outside Longworth Manor. The course is uneven and may be slippery in wet weather; it is not suitable for baby strollers. Dogs are allowed on leads and runners with dogs must start at the back of the pack.
Facilities at the Village Hall include parking, registration, changing rooms, toilets, a bag drop, and drinking water. The course has kilometer markers and water stops at approximately 3 km, 8 km, and at the finish. A separate kids fun run is organised for primary school children and their supporters.
Entry is priced at £20 for standard entries and £15 for under 18s. On-the-day entry is available up to the event limit of 200 runners, and online entry is offered via the Evententry system. The event raises funds for Longworth Primary School and HALF. The race is organised annually by the Longworth Runners and has been held every year since 1998 except for 2020.
