Long Sault Trail Race & Ultra
The event takes place at Long Sault Conservation Area in Bowmanville, Ontario. It is organized as a set of looped trail races on two distinct 7 km all-trail loops. Distances and formats offered include:
- 7K single 7 km trail loop
- 14K two different 7 km loops (complete course)
- 21K three loops combining the two 7 km trails
- 6 Hour run as many 7 km loops as possible in six hours
- 2K Kids single 2 km trail loop
There is one aid station located at the start/finish area that provides water, lemon/lime Skratch, and common race snacks; participants must carry what they need between loops. Participants in the six hour event must complete loops within the six hour timeframe and are not permitted to start a final loop if it cannot be completed in time.
Parking on site is paid at CA$7 per vehicle and a paid parking receipt must be shown at registration; online prepayment is available. Race distances are capped this year and start times are staggered to accommodate limited parking. No dogs are permitted. Parent or guardian must accompany children in the 2K Kids event. Cotton hoodies are available for sale with proceeds donated to CLOCA. Prizes are awarded by place in each distance, subject to registration numbers. Transfers are permitted up to three days before race day; no refunds or deferrals are issued. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
