About the race
The Lobster Lollop is a trail running event organised by Purple Gecko Events in association with the National Lobster Hatchery. It takes place on the Camel Trail and offers several distance choices on an out and back route. The event date is Saturday 14th November 2026.
The day is arranged in two separate sections so different distances run at different times. There is a Canicross category on selected distances. There are no cut off times for any category.
Every runner receives a Lobster Lollop medal. Runners can show their medal at the National Lobster Hatchery to gain free entry for the weekend. Donations to the National Lobster Hatchery can be made on entry to support their conservation work. Awards are given to top finishers in each category.
Minimum age rules are specified for each distance. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Canicross participants must be at least 16 years old. Final race information and further details about registration will be provided to entrants and published by the organiser before the event.
