Lismore Samson Fitness Challenge
The Lismore Samson Fitness Challenge is a multi-event fitness competition held at Hepburn Park, Lismore on 5 and 6 March 2027. The event raises funds for Our Kids, a local charity that purchases paediatric equipment for the Children's Ward and Special Care Nursery at Lismore Base Hospital and nearby hospitals in the Northern Rivers.
The main Team Samson format uses four-person teams that complete nine physical challenges. The listed challenges include a farmers walk with jerry cans, a prowler push, a 130 kg truck tyre flip, a burpee challenge, two 2 km runs, a 1 km swim, a sled plug, and an obstacle course. The team that completes all challenges in the shortest overall time is awarded the Samson Title.
The program also includes separate events: Samson Solo (held Friday night), Team Samson on Saturday, Team Samson Teen and Junior on Saturday, and Samson Kids on Saturday. The event has a fundraising focus and has previously supported the purchase of paediatric medical equipment for Lismore Base Hospital. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
