Lismore Samson Fitness Challenge
The Lismore Samson Fitness Challenge is a two-day event at Hepburn Park Lismore on 5 and 6 March 2027 that raises funds for the Our Kids charity. Our Kids raises money to purchase paediatric equipment for the Children’s Ward and Special Care Nursery at Lismore Base Hospital and for surrounding hospitals in the Northern Rivers. The 2026 Samson contributed to the purchase of a ventilator for the Special Care Nursery at Lismore Base Hospital.
The main Samson Challenge is a four-person team event made up of nine physical tasks. These include a farmers walk with jerry cans, a prowler push, a 130 kg truck tyre flip, a burpee challenge, two 2 km runs, a 1 km swim, a sled plug, and an obstacle course. The quickest team to complete all tasks wins the Samson Title and holds bragging rights for the next twelve months.
The program also includes Samson Solo, Team Samson Teen and Junior, and Samson Kids events across the weekend. The event combines team and individual formats and records results from participating teams across multiple years. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
