The 24 Hour Lions Roar
The 24 Hour Lions Roar is a multi-distance ultrarunning event held in Columbia, Missouri at Gans Creek Recreation Area. The event offers individual and team formats across several timed events and includes a short youth run.
The main loop is 2.5 mile and combines the D1 NCAA Cross Country Championship Course with adjacent soccer fields. The course is described as well groomed and runnable with modest elevation changes, and it accommodates continuous laps through day and night. The 1 Hour Cub Run uses a separate 0.25 mile loop intended for younger participants.

Awards recognize solo and team achievements. Solo awards include top two male and female finishers in the 6, 12, and 24 hour solo events. Lifetime mileage awards recognize the top three men and women with the most Lions Roar miles. Tag team champions receive a custom championship belt. Additional recognition includes a custom belt buckle for completing 100 miles in 24 hours and a commemorative t shirt for participants.
