Les Gendarmes et les Voleurs de Temps
Les Gendarmes et les Voleurs de Temps is a family-friendly trail and running event held in Ambazac in the Limousin. The event offers multiple trail distances that use the green trails of the Monts du Limousin and combines competitive races with recreational formats.
Distances include:
- 5 km in duo from 2027
- 11 km with canicross and canitrail options
- 20 km and 32 km
The 2027 edition takes place on 15 and 16 May 2027. Registrations are scheduled to open on 1 November 2026. For 2027 the program includes a new DÉFI 20KM + 10KM in addition to the 5 km duo format.
Children’s races are organised across two days: individual races by age categories on Saturday, and parent-child relay races on Sunday. The event also programs canicross, canitrail and canirando; the 11 km canicross counted more than 300 teams in 2026.
The event has a history linked to the Gendarmerie: from 1991 to 2006 the Gendarmerie organised the races, with the current association taking over in 2006. The Gendarmerie remains a partner and provides support in several areas. Results, photos from 2026 and a video produced by the gendarmerie production centre are part of the recent documentation for the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
