Event overview
The 8th edition of the canitrail event takes place on the Pentecost weekend in Ambazac, at Petit Muret (87240). The weekend combines timed dog-and-handler races and a non‑competitive dog walk, with separate capacities and entry prices.
Distances offered:
- 11 km canitrail
- 5 km canicross
- 15 km canimarche
The canicross and canitrail are chronometrical events; the canimarche is organised as a non timed walk. Entry prices listed for these editions start from €20 for the canitrail, €15 for the canicross and €9 for the canimarche. Capacity limits are defined: 350 places for the canitrail, 250 for the canicross and 200 for the canimarche.
Participant requirements and documents are specified. For the canitrail a dog minimum age of 24 months is required and dogs must be vaccinated against CHPL, kennel cough and rabies. For the canicross and canimarche dogs must be at least 18 months old. For human participants the canitrail has an age requirement for those born in 2006 or earlier; junior categories apply for other events. For timed races accepted licences include FFSLC, FFPTC, FFA, FFTRI and FFST; non licensed participants may provide a PPS or a FFSLC health questionnaire.
