About the race
The Silver Rush 50 Run is a mountain trail run in Leadville, Colorado, held July 10, 2027. The event includes multiple distances and a team-style combined Challenge across run and mountain bike events.

- 5 km Silver Rush Juniors Run
- Silver Rush Challenge (combined 50 run and 50 MTB)
The 50 mile course is an out-and-back route through Leadville’s historic mining district, primarily on dirt roads, beginning near the Cloud City Ski Hut on Hwy 24. The 50 mile course gains approximately 8,000 feet of elevation and is marked with pink flags. The 15 mile and 5 km courses use the same start/finish corridor and are marked with blue and red flags respectively.
There are seven well supplied aid stations positioned along outbound and inbound miles, including named stations Black Cloud, Printer Boy, Venir, and Stumptown. Missing a course cutoff at an aid station prevents continuation. Drop bags for the 50 run are accepted only for Stumptown and must be clear plastic; they are returned to the start/finish and must be claimed the same day.
Key event details: registration opens January 7, 2027; minimum ages and entry fees vary by distance; the Silver Rush 50 Run is a qualifier for the Leadville Trail 100 Run.
