Silver Rush 50 Run
The Silver Rush 50 Run is scheduled for July 10, 2027, with registration opening in January 2027. The event features an approximately 50 mile out and back course on the east side of Leadville that follows primarily historic dirt roads and passes numerous historic gold and silver mines. The course accumulates about 8,000 feet of elevation gain and travels beneath nearby 14,000 foot peaks. Roads used by the course remain open to vehicle traffic.
There are multiple race distances and related events:
- 50 miles out and back course, marked with pink flags.
- 15 miles on the same route segment, marked with blue flags.
- 5K Juniors for ages 10 to 18, marked with red flags.
- Silver Rush Challenge combining the 50 run and the 50 mountain bike event.
Aid station and logistics details: seven well supplied aid stations are located at specific mile markers including Black Cloud, Printer Boy, Venir, and Stumptown (the halfway turnaround). Aid stations provide water, sports drinks and gels, energy bars and chews, Pickle Juice products, and assorted foods. Drop bags for the 50 run are accepted only at the Stumptown aid station and are subject to event pickup and return procedures. Crew access is limited to the start/finish area, Printer Boy, and Stumptown aid stations. The Silver Rush 50 Run is a qualifier for the Leadville Trail 100 Run.
