Leadville Boomdays International Pack Burro Race

The Leadville Boomdays International Pack Burro Race is a pack-burro running event held in Leadville, Colorado, in the Boom Days program. The town sits at over 10,000 feet elevation. Each team consists of one runner and one burro; teams carry traditional mining tools while racing across high-altitude terrain.

The long course is an historic out-and-back route from downtown Leadville that climbs toward Mosquito Pass, gaining nearly 3,000 feet to elevations above 13,000 feet before returning to town.
