Last Wolf Howling

Last Wolf Howling is a Last Person Standing trail event held on private property in White's Crossing, about 6 miles east of Wiggins, MS near Highway 26. Exact location, address and directions will be released during race week.

The course is a double-lollipop design on wooded, mostly shaded, mostly flat double-track trail. Each loop measures about 2.08 miles with minimal elevation change. The exact route will be clearly marked and additional photos and elevation details will be provided before the event.

Runners complete one loop every 30 minutes. The start of each loop begins at the top and bottom of the hour. Competitors must be in the start corral at the loop start and finish the loop within the 30 minute time limit. Participants continue running loop after loop until they cannot complete a loop within the time limit or choose to stop; the race continues until only one runner completes a solo lap. A special finish provision allows the final remaining runner to continue solo to reach 100 miles, since 24 hours of laps equals 100 miles.

Support and amenities include a fully stocked aid station with meals, snacks and beverages available throughout the event, porta potties at the start area, and a designated crew tent area near the start. Uncrewed runners have a separate tent area. Pacers are not allowed and crews may not provide on-course assistance; assistance from other runners is permitted. Refund and credit options are described in the registration terms. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
