Last Trail Standing

Last Trail Standing is a trail running event held at Settlers Cabin Park with start and finish at Gilbert Love Shelter. The event takes place on November 14, 2026 and uses nearly all park trails in mostly wooded terrain.

Race options include:

  • 5K : hikers welcome
  • 8 Miles : hikers welcome
  • 25K (15.5 miles) : one full loop (out and back)
  • 50K (31 miles) : two full loops

Course details: the core trail is a 7.75-mile point-to-point section that is run in both directions to form a 15.5-mile loop. The route is 99% trail, deep in the woods, and the 50K accumulates about 3,300 ft of climb and about 3,100 ft of descent. Start/finish and turnaround locations are within 100 yards of each other for spectator and crew convenience. Two major aid stations are located at the Start/Finish and the Turnaround, with less than half a mile between aid points.

Logistics and services: timing is provided by Miles of Smiles. Finisher medals are provided to all participants; top-three male and female awards are given for all distances, with additional awards for the 8 Mile, 25K, and 50K. Registration opens January 22, 2026 and closes November 13, 2026; refunds are available through October 1, 2026. Day-before registration is held at Sweat Bar Fitness in Oakdale and race-day registration is available onsite. The full course map will not be released in advance.
