Last Man Standing : Lumberton, TX
Last Man Standing is an endurance running event held in a local park in Lumberton, Texas. The course uses a two-loop design that totals 4 miles, routing runners along well‑maintained trails, shaded paths, and open stretches amid towering pines. The layout places a main aid station near the finish area and a second unmanned station on the back side of the course at mile 1. Aid station supplies include water, electrolytes, pickle juice, coke, and snacks.
Packet pickup is available on the two days before and at the event. Racing can continue through the night into Sunday for remaining competitors. Athletes may use a designated area near the start line for drop bags and athlete camps; organizers recommend bringing a small canopy to store snacks, drinks, and gear.
All finishers receive a Last Man Standing medal with a patch indicating the number of loops completed. Additional awards listed for winners include the Last Man Standing Ultra Trophy and a Yeti cooler; finisher shirts are also provided.
Proceeds from the event support NMA, a nonprofit working with 1egacy Group, law enforcement, advocacy groups, and families to recover missing and exploited children. Support activities cited include tracking traffickers, outreach efforts, crisis response, and efforts to bring children home safely. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
