Last Man Standing Lake Placid
Last Man Standing Lake Placid is a backyard ultra held on wooded trails at Mt. Hovenberg in Lake Placid, New York on July 31, 2027. The event uses the Backyard Ultra format: participants run a 4.167 mile (6.706 km) loop each hour and must complete each loop within the hour to continue. A new loop begins at the top of each hour and a runner is eliminated if they fail to start the next loop on time. The last person to complete a loop is declared the overall winner.
The event offers race giveaways including shirts and medals. For 2027 there are medal ribbon sliders that attach to the medal ribbon to recognize distance milestones such as 26.2, 50K, 50 miles, 100K, 100 miles, 125 miles, and 150 miles. Awards listed include Overall Champion, Top Other Gender Overall, Masters Male/Female (40+), and Grand Masters Male/Female (50+).
