Lake Vista Lunatics Run - November 8, 2026
Lake Vista Lunatics Run is a trail endurance event held at Deam Lake State Recreation Area in Borden, IN. The event offers multi-hour endurance formats and a single-lap fun run on a marked loop.

- 12 Hour endurance event
- 6 Hour endurance event
- Fun Run, one lap only
The course is a single marked loop of 4.167 miles. The lap includes a steep summit section with grades around 25 to 30 percent, several creek crossings that can often be hopped, occasional downed trees, and rooty, rocky technical sections near the top. Runners can view the surrounding area from the summit before descending the far side.
Endurance competitors complete repeated laps for the duration they committed to; total time for all laps is calculated and the fastest overall pace with no missed laps determines the winner. The event is not a last man standing format. Runners are expected to bring their own nutrition and hydration; event organizers will have limited electrolytes and nutrition as backup.
Prizes include a finisher medal, awards for top endurance finishers including male and female categories, door or random prizes, and a Lake Vista baseball cap with registration.
