Lake Martin 50/50 is a trail ultramarathon held on Russell Forest Lands near Lake Martin in Alexander City, Alabama. The event is staged entirely on private land and uses a figure eight course that returns repeatedly to the Start/Finish and Heaven Hill aid station, providing crew access and multiple course milestones. The terrain includes singletrack, double wide carriage trails, sandy dry soil, roots, and sections with large crushed granite. The course is described as non technical by Southeast standards but has rolling hills and occasional steep pitches.

The 50 Mile race consists of two complete laps of a roughly 25.09 mile loop with cumulative elevation in the low six thousand foot range. The 50K uses a 25 mile loop plus a repeat of the south loop, with about 3,800 feet of climbing. Each 25 mile loop contains four aid station stops, including Heaven Hill and The Cabin, and runners may place drop bags at both Heaven Hill and Cabins Aid Stations. The event is cupless so participants must carry a cup or bottle for aid station drinks.

Course marking uses blue flags with reflective tape, directional signs, and wrong way indicators; flags are placed roughly every 150 yards in exposed sections. A GPX track is provided for navigation. Pacers are permitted for 50 Mile runners after the first 25 mile lap; 50K runners are not allowed pacers. Crews accessing Heaven Hill must park at the Adamson trailhead and walk approximately 0.25 miles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
